In
case you're interested here’s a little background information
about me, the what’s, the why’s, the wherefore's and associated
trivia.
Like most children I got the notion in my head that boring
bedroom walls with duck wall paper were a God-given gift for
self expression with a ball point pen and crayons! This first
experiment resulted in my very own Jackson Pollock, but at the
age of six my parents couldn’t see my more sensitive and intuitive
qualities and I was packed of to Grandmas for a week to facilitate
re-decoration.
I
was always told I was a dreamer, this is no longer a problem, as I
like to think that I have my head in the clouds and feet on
the ground. So armed with this important parental observation
I embarked on a path of yoga, vegetarian fare, Glastonbury
and Stonehenge festivals, beach buggies and Art College. My
imagination being stimulated by such activities I realised that
selling double glazing and photocopiers was not for me. My father
having told me that in life you often have to do anything to
get by, so I left Epsom College after three years and delivered
toilets for a department store in Staines, Middlesex..... what
can I say, he was right, on this occasion..........but not for
long.
I
won't bore you with a potted history of my life. Suffice to
say that you can't imagine anything which doesn’t exist and
I see my work as a key to unlock children's, as well as adults',
imagination and bring a special reality into everyday life.
Based in England, I work out of my studio in Teddington Middlesex
although I undertake commissions all over England and some in
America.
I’ve
been creating rooms for business and home alike for ten years
now, done three TV programs and turned down a fourth. It made
me look fat and I’m not - apparently TV does this to people!
Oh! And I’m single and sorted, but I have seen two faeries many
years ago. Three friends also witnessed the encounter.
All four of us were overwhelmed by the experience and, no, we
weren’t drunk at the time, but did become so very shortly after.
I hope you’ve enjoyed my designs and should you be interested
in having a room transformed, or just small free-standing characters
hand-painted, or would like advice on tricks of the trade please contact
